Matt and Bubba Kadane are the collaborative force behind the now legendary band Bedhead (Trance Syndicate), and their recent incarnation The New Year (Touch and Go). Recorded by Steve Albini at Electrical Audio Studios in Chicago, "Music from the Film Hell House" is an all-new instrumental EP of haunting melodies and shimmering guitars. Their first release in well over two years, the music here perfectly compliments their 12 year career.
Their music has always had a cinematic quality that lends itself perfectly to their first original film score for "Hell House", directed by George Ratliff. The film is an in-depth look at a religious community and the house of horrors they create each year to depict modern day evils such as abortion, drug use and date rape, and how these sins will send you to hell unless you choose salvation. Hell Houses have now spread to hundreds of churches around the country.
The Kadane brothers are releasing the 2nd album by The New Year in Spring 2004 on Touch and Go Records.
